Vegetarian Sushi Is The Ultimate Appetising Caper

It is a predominantly Japanese cuisine that has found global resonance. As a traditional specialty, sushi can be made from either medium-grain white rice, brown rice or short-grain rice. Often it is prepared with seafood like squid, eel, yellowtail, salmon, tuna or imitation crab meat. There are several types of sushi with most combining vegetarian ingredients.

Main Ingredients Vegetarian Sushi 

1 cup medium-grain white rice 

1/4 cups cold water

1 2-inch-square piece dried kelp (konbu),

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

1 tablespoonful sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

There is a misconception all sushi loaded with raw fish slices. This recipe presents a delicious vegan variety that is as tasty.

Preparation Guideline And Style

With most of the ingredients done now comes the combining and bringing together for a great and tasty vegetarian sushi.

1. Put rice onto a strainer and rinse it with cold water until it is drained. Ensure proper drain with less or no water. 

2. Take the strained rice and place it into a heavy-medium saucepan to cook. 

3. Before, add 1 1/4 cups of clean cold water and kelp into the pan. Then cover it to soak for 30 minutes. This allows it to soak well in preparation for the exquisite taste to come forth.  

4. Open afterward and remove the kelp and let the mixture boil on a regulated low-intensity heat. 

6. Cover it and boil up to when the rice is tender (approx.15 minutes). 

7. Take the rice from the heat and let while staying covered for another15 minutes. 

8. Transfer rice to a large glass bowl. 

9. Mix vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small saucepan and stir over low-flame heat until sugar dissolves. 

10. Slowly let the mixture drip over the rice as you gently toss the rice with vinegar mixture to coat. 

11. In the end, cover the rice with a clean damp towel and let it cool down completely at room temperature.
